  2. Don't have one of those slotted rulers - can you post measurements of the finished block and I can work it out from there.
    Thanks, Kate

  3. Hi Kate, you don't need one of those slotted rulers. And please don't worry about the finished size, just send it along, I'll square it up and don't worry, I will love it to pieces!

You start with 5 inch squares, sew them together in a 4 patch, press. Now just measure out 1 1/2" from the middle on each side and cut. Turn the block around and repeat, measure out 1 1/2" from the center on each side of the center seam and cut.

Once you make all 4 cuts, move your pieces a bit and stand back and look at them. There are 4 "double logs", the narrow cuts with the seams on the inside. All you have to do is turn them upside down.

If you go to the link, above, and look at each picture and click on them. They will enlarge and then you can read the writing on them.

Let me know if any of you ladies have other questions....and did I answer this one ok?

I love my blocks from my first bee. I love the fact that someone else will make something just for me. I don't want anyone to sweat this one at all. I am going to love this one.

I am looking forward to being able to share with all you ladies, thanks, Elaine
