Did you get your block Linda?

I received your little block Linda, and had alot of fun putting it together. I was even proud of myself for mailing it...oops, forgot to take a pic, aagghhhh! I hope you like it!

I need to pay closer attention...especially to the giveaways out there. Jenny, you're having one now aren't you? I have one going on my blog for wool kits. You're all invited to pop by and enter if you would like. I'm off to Jennys blog...Elaine

Your block was a lot of fun Linda!  I have loads of strips out right now since I am working on log cabin blocks for birthday quilts for my nephews!  I had fun with it!

I think I'm seeing a wonky stars quilt in my future. It's unbelieveable how quickly this went together, and I'm loving the way it looks. All of these little pretties that I have posted should go out in the mail today. Thanks for your patience ladies. Lizzie, I believe I figured out what I going to do with yours. It's all in my head, I just need to get another piece of fabric to do it. Of course I don't have it here!! ;>)

May Block

Hello Ladies! It's good to be back! I've caught up with all but two blocks, and as soon as I figure out what I'm going to do, they will be on their way. I am sending everyone this black and yellow 3 1/2" square triangle. What I would like you to do is to add strips starting on the black side, and build on it until you reach 12 1/2". I would like bright, bold colors as opposed to muted, or dark fabrics. You can cut your strips any size between 1" to 2 1/2". The blocks should measure 12 1/2" when you are finished. I hope you have fun with this!

This was a fun block to make Melina. I was surprised to see how quickly it went together. I had no usable scraps leftover! Enjoy!

Hi Jenny,

You wanted me to make the friendship star. I had lots of fabric left over, so I practiced with my flying geese ruler. Enjoy!!

Hope you like this one precious lady, and I hope you weren't holding your breath until you received it!! ;>)

Finally, Liz, your block!

I finally got back to my sewing table today, and it's been so long that the clock on the bookcase is still an hour behind-it never got changed...

finally, after MONTHS of waiting, here's your block, Lizzie. I went back and saw that you wanted something that reflected our personality, and that it was going into a quilt for your son's room. So, in explanation: I picked a block pattern that is circular because I believe in the circle of life, continuity and renewal. The spring flowers represent my love of the outdoors. The two space prints represent my husband and older daughter, both scientists. The final print represents my younger daughter's interest in Asian art. They are intertwined with your print to represent how this bee has drawn us all together. Though I'd like to have some awe-inspiring reason for the borders, I put them on to try and make the block the size you wanted. I think I did fairly well, as math has never been my strong point I had trouble measuring the strips. I'm not sure if I can get away from work to get to the post office tomorrow, if not, it will go out on Thursday. thanks for your patience!
