Elaine's block (s) and My Blocks

After I sent off Elaine's block, I was in my sewing room and looked over and there were leftover bits from the block.  What am I going to do with those, I thought and then it hit me.  Make another block for Elaine.  I pulled some more squares and put them over to the side thinking I was so clever and what a great surprise two blocks would be.   Then I got sick and then never got back into the studio.  Then I saw where someone posted two blocks.  Duh, I guess we were supposed to make two blocks to begin with.  Silly me for not thinking that from the start.  Today, I finally got around to making the second block for Elaine.  I will get it in the mail this week - hopefully tomorrow.  Sorry for being so dense and not connecting the dots sooner.

Speaking of blocks.  I have received blocks from 9 of the 11 people on the list and reading the posts, I am thinking that this will be all that I am going to receive from this group.  If the two people that haven't sent their blocks are still participating and plan on sending their block soon, please let me know and I will hold off putting my quilt together.  If I don't hear from you soon, I will assume that I have all the blocks I am going to receive.

  1. I am also two blocks short Nathalie but have decided to go ahead and put my blocks together. I am making my quilt a queen size now so am making more blocks anyway. Still waiting for Elaine's fabric.

  2. Nathalie, I know I posted mine but it has such a long way to come. I hope it is there by now. You may have told me before but I'm in Bali at the moment and the wifi is atrocious so I can go back to previous posts to see. Let me know 'cos I'm happy to do it again.....Sue

  3. Please don't worry about not having the fabric from me yet, I know it takes forever for the post to reach you. I should have sent it sooner. One block or two, either is ok, so thank you Nathalie!

  5. Marls, I would love to make another couple of blocks for you if you would like. Just remind me what you need and I will get them out to you asap. Sue, yes, I received a block from you. so you are off the hook. You can just enjoy Bali. (so jealous of all your travels) Elaine, your block is going in the mail this afternoon after I get off work and you don't need to make another block. I made several extras (kind of knowing I wouldn't get them all and I might want to have extras) However, if you are bored and would like to make another one, I am making them reverse of the original. Black with white background and then reversing the warm and cool colors. (way too much trouble LOL)

    1. Thanks for the offer Nathalie but I am almost finished now-4 rows sewn together. Am working 48hrs this week as we are so short staffed so not a lot of sewing is going to get done. Roll on next week.
