Jenny's blog and help please!

A flower for y'all, I love spring and its nice surprises. Anyone knows the name of this pretty one?

Here is my block Jenny. Hope you like it!
I am sooooo in love with the wonky star.
In fact, I have a dilemma...
My fabric is chosen and ready to go but I wanted to do the star again and thought you might all get bored.
Can you suggest a design that is not too complicated and kind of like the wonky star since I love it so much.
It is my turn and I don't want to be so late.
I was playing around with the "card deck" and "stain glass effect" or even the "friendship braid", but I am not in love.
Hope you can help me. I am going to surf the web a little since I have been looking at a couple of books only so far.
I will be sending the fabrics as soon as I have found the pattern so I can get the measurements right.
Thanks!

Another great place to search out tutorials is: http://www.freequiltpatterns.info/

  4. Hey Melina-- The Yellow flower is a crocus--always the first to bloom here I've got purple ones in my front yard!

I love love love your star and if that's your favorite--go for it! They would make a great quilt! You could have us make them in all different sizes!

  5. I wouldn't worry about us being bored! Whatever you decide. BUT...have you seen the style of stars that Buggy Barn likes to use? their stuff is always a bit wonky... just scroll down and you'll see a quilt with a dog in front... http://www.buggybarnquilts.com/

I don't know how hard this would be as I've never done one but it is a bit different. BUT again, it's your piece and if you want wonky stars again do not worry about us getting bored. Really...it's one square...not going to kill anyone will it? LOL.

  7. I'm with everyone else-if you want wonky stars, we'll sew wonky stars!! I love it too. We are still roaming in and out of OH, so my sewing has suffered. I'm hoping to catch up on blocks this weekend, and then I won't be the pokey one!
