Is May cancelled?

On a roll

Just a quick note to you all- Louis, my husband, had a small stroke on Friday the 9th and I've been dealing with that nonstop. He is being released from rehab today and I will be able to spend my time at home again rather than the hospital or nursing facility. That means I can sew again! Promises, promises, I hope to catch up on all my blocks this weekend! I'll keep you posted.

and if anyone EVER tells you that things mellow with age, tell them that only applies to cheeses and good wine! Life is full of surprises, so be ready for the unexpected.

Here you go Melina, blocks will be mailed out tomorrow. I was tied up:

a) fixing dinner for the spousal unit

b) finished them to late to post out

c) taking care of my new charges

d) just to darn lazy to comb my hair today!

Yay!!! I was very excited when I stopped at the mailbox today, can't wait to get this made...I wonder if the family notices no dinner tonight? LOL.

Here you go Melina, I will mail it out tomorrow!  I lost track of myself and got some sideways and upside deers, sorry about that!  I didn't have enough fabric to make two, but I had a lot of fun with this one!  Hope you like it.

I didn't have quite enough to make a complete background on the deer print, so I added a lavender to fill it in...and added a few coordinating colors from the print. very cute print!

No matter how many of them I make, I must say that I NEVER tire of making wonky stars. They are one of my favorites. This time I tried a little something different to make it more fun. I can't wait to see this quilt put together!

Lizzie's Block

Here is the block I made for Lizzie. I decided to make a pink fleur de lis to represent my home state and my favorite color. The patchwork is inspired by this maple leaf. I hope you like it!!
